On hearing the news of the three South Korean workers committing suicide in protest, we are in deep sorrow and regret. We conceive that this tragedy is caused by the fact that labor unions' due acts against unjust corporation activities have not been guaranteed and the government responded to labor unions in oppressive manners. We strongly call upon the Korean government to stop immediately its oppressive policy against workers and to initiate appropriate measures not to allow the same kind of tragedy to even happen again.
