| JRU took part in the demonstration of
"Burma Human Rights Day" hosted by Burma Democratic Action
Group (BDA) On March 13. About 150 people gathered for march and the rally
calling for rebuilding human rights in Burma. The representative from BDA said "Under the Myanmar Junta, Burmese people have been suffering from severe violation of human rights for more than 42 years, and there are still now a number of political prisoners. We hope to gain attention from Japanese public about the conditions of our Human Rights". On the relay speeches, our member indicated the solidarity between Japanese and Burmese workers. The participants marched downtown in Tokyo, appealing to people for "Burma Human Rights Day" and chanting the slogans such as "Take actions to free Aung San Suu Kyi, U Tin Oo and all political prisoners in Burma!" and "Help and Join us to stop breaking the human rights in Burma!" in Japanese and Burmese.
