Mourning over Mr. Matsuzakifs death

Mr. Akira Matsuzaki, the former special advisor of the Japan Confederation of Railway Workersf Unions and the founding president of the East Japan Railway Workersf Union, passed away at 23:12 on 9 December, 2010. He was 74 years old.

Mr. Matsuzaki truly loved peace, nature and people, and kept on fighting with a spirit of resistance and humanism in the great arena of international labor movement. During his whole life he was a union through and through.

We offer our sincerest prayer for the repose of Mr. Matsuzakifs soul.
