Central May Day rally of JTUC
On
April 29, the central May Day rally of Japanese Trade Union Confederation (JTUC) was held in Tokyo and about
36000 workers marched into the ceremony. As a terrible train-derailed
accident occurred in JR-West Fukuchiyama line in the same week, JRU members called for
“Stop bullying workers in the name of Day-shift education” which puts much
pressures on the workers of JR West Co, and “Safety must come before a train
schedule or profit”.
This is the first May Day since ICLS (International Center for Labor Solidarity) was established. ICLS decided to make a joint action with a common slogan of “Solidarity against Neo-liberal Globalization”.

The Philippine Railway Workers Union, extends our Solidarity to the members of ICLS in celebrating workers day today.
The working class situation under the present circumstances has tremendously deteriorated, to the point that the worker has to practically beg for his survival Employers oftentimes think of his profit and will never allow reduction to it, while the capitalist controlled government never takes time to listen to the workers grievances and act on it.
We workers seek to defend our rights but oftentimes we find ourselves in contradiction to existing pro-capital policies.
Oppression and Harassment are usual weapons used against workers who are fighting for their rights, but as workers who are determined on defending our principles, we have to fight back, push the rotten status quo out of the way and helped established a government of the working class.
Mabuhay ang Manggagawa! Long live the workingclass, Long Live ICLS.

Brothers and Sisters coming together for May Day all over the world!
We are facing a storm of neo-liberal globalization everywhere on the earth. Capitalists force workers in the world into a race to the bottom, pursuing cheap labor as a profit source. Workers’ power is not strong enough.
Only SOLIDARITY can stop the competitiveness and fight back deterioration of wages and working conditions. Remember, we be many and they be few. Their arm is separation and competition, while ours is solidarity. A great number of workers’ solidarity can bring peace to the world of continuous war and oppression. We can bring the world accord and order as well.
Believing the workers’ future, JRU pursues solidarity with all workers across the world as a member of ICLS, and keeps on fighting for ANOTHER WORLD.
